ZERO Level 3 Surgical Mask Head Ties 50 Pack
Developed in collaboration with The NSW Ministry of Health, the ZERO Surgical Mask biodegrades at an accelerated rate, breaking down into non-toxic and microplastic free byproducts. It offers all day comfort with low airflow resistance, ergonomic design and soft lightweight materials. Let’s evolve our technology towards ZERO waste.

- Certified Level 3

- Pollen
The ZERO filter is biodegradable and breaks down into non-toxic microplastic-free byproducts, reducing the waste associated with discarded PPE.
Biodegradation testing on our nonwoven technology was completed according to ASTM D5511 the Standard Test Method for Determining Anaerobic Biodegradation of Plastic Materials Under High-Solids Anaerobic-Digestion Conditions. Testing is ongoing, and we will regularly publish updates with new biodegradation results as they become available.
Biodegradation rates of the ZERO Surgical Mask nonwoven material elements are measured according to the ASTM D5511 standard. Biodegradation testing has been conducted on nonwoven material elements and excludes earloops and nose bridge. The biodegradation rates may change based on the landfill conditions present.

FAQS
Find answers to commonly asked questions.
Are FILTRUM Masks lab tested and approved with the TGA?
Yes, all FILTRUM Masks have undergone independent laboratory testing by VicLab in Victoria, Australia.
What is the difference between Level 2 & Level 3 Masks?
When it comes to surgical masks, the primary difference between Level 2 and Level 3 relates to their recommended usage based on the risk of fluid exposure.
- Level 2 surgical masks are generally appropriate for all clinical and non-clinical staff in routine settings. They offer a good level of protection for everyday interactions.
- Level 3 surgical masks should typically be limited to situations where there is a specific risk of splash of blood and/or other body fluids. These masks offer a higher level of fluid resistance and are tested to withstand 160 mmHg as per ASTM F1861/F1862M-13. They are usually worn by staff when undertaking clinical procedures where such splashes are a potential hazard.
How do I dispose of my FILTRUM Mask?
Dispose of your FILTRUM mask in your regular waste bin and paper based packaging in the recycling. The biodegradable ZERO filter breaks down into non-toxic byproducts and is designed to be microplastic-free, reducing PPE waste. Our nonwoven technology's biodegradation is tested according to ASTM D5511 standards.
